The woman standing before Horace looked familiar, but deep inside, he knew he had never seen her before.
“Did it work?” Catherine asked.
“Yes. The inhibitor chip is active,” Megan replied. “He’ll never stalk you again.”
“Can I hurt him?”
“Absolutely. Have fun.”
Catherine stared at the confused perpetrator and reached for a baseball bat.
How this story came to be
Many of my stories feature evil people, but they’re just dark fantasies, nothing more. In the real world, I can’t stand people who hurt others just because… I hate stalkers, I hate child molesters, I hate violent partners, etc. Sometimes, I wish Justice were way harsher for them. Since it’s not, at least it can be in one of these short tales.
Imagine this: a chip that inhibits all deviant behavior. For instance, in the case of a stalker, it would also block the memories of the person they had been going after, thus preventing it from ever happening again. Of course, if one doesn’t remember someone, then they also don’t remember whatever they decide to do with them. Are you getting the picture?
