Away From Home
Dean opened his eyes and looked at the sign in front of him. He was ten miles away from home.
“How did I…?” he mumbled before yelling “Phoebe!”
He remembered his girlfriend’s eyes, the way she spoke softly, and then… darkness.
Her hypnotic pranks were the worst but at least he wasn’t naked this time.
How this story came to be
Today, I did something I hadn’t done in a while which was to walk home from work. The weather was nice, with no chance of rain, and so I got moving, headphones in my ears, listening to some symphonic metal along the way. I must have zoned out for a bit because I kept walking past my door without realizing it and then had to double back.
Anyway, this little moment of distraction partially inspired this one, but my state of trance was not a prank… I think.
