All I Can Think About
“Hmmm…” Nathan mumbled.
“What’s wrong?” Marcia asked.
“Have you ever felt you’re a puppet for someone else’s amusement?”
“No, Why?”
“It’s all I can think about lately and I don’t like it.”
“You’re just tired. Let’s go home.”
“Okay.”
Marcia grabbed his leash and dragged him across the street. Everyone but him saw it happening.
How this story came to be
Just a random late-night impromptu that ended up giving me more trouble than anticipated because every variation of it came out with too many words and it was proving hard to trim the tale and still make the point across. Eventually, I did it, but that early perception will forever remain associated with it.
Yes, even though Nathan senses something is up with him, he’s been so mindfucked by her already he can’t even see the collar she placed around his neck. Poor guy (or is he?)
