A Part of Me
Gina opened her mouth to reveal the translucent tendril wiggling under her tongue.
“Eww, what is that thing?” Carmen asked.
“The alien that fell in my backyard. He’s a part of me now.”
“What? I thought you were joking!”
“It’s all true, sweetie.”
“Even the mind-controlling powers?”
“Especially those.”
Carmen felt her thoughts melting away.
How this story came to be
Random sci-fi impromptu that was written shortly before going to bed. If fusing with an alien gave you the power to control other people’s minds, would you do it?
