One Mesmeric Dance [Hypnotic Poetry #9]

One Mesmeric Dance

A woman with a hypnotic stare
Said “Come dance if you dare”
I had two left feet
And one hip obsolete
But my mind didn’t care.

Such was her might
That it felt just right
To dance all night long
In a silly little thong
That used to be white.

And you know what, I say,
It is good to obey
And to take a chance
At one mesmeric dance,
The perfect use of a day.
