In 55 Words FD MC Challenge 2017 – Day 300
Three hundred short stories in three hundred days of the year. That’s right, I’m on the verge of once more completing this challenge. Only 65 more days to go and rest assured I’ll be here every single one of them so come along and let’s enjoy the ride together.
Recently, a friend of mine told me I have a lot of stamina in being able to pull this off. I guess that’s true. It’s also true that I can be a stubborn bastard when the motivation is there and well… this is one of those occasions where I don’t mind the persistence.
Today, I wanted to bring attention to yet another milestone when it comes to these. This is History in the making when it comes to my creativity, so a historical piece seemed in order. However, I also wanted it to be somewhat funny and combining both isn’t always easy. However, I do have a recurring character that simply has too much fun messing with History so…
A famous battle is brought to life in today’s piece. Popular culture is also duly highlighted given said battle has been the subject of a famous comic series by Frank Miller and Lynn Varley as well as a movie directed by Zack Snyder. There’s also a sequel to the latter, but I’ve yet to see it so I’m focusing on the “original”. This is me being slightly bonkers once again and that’s really the way I like it.
